Description
The POE-16MB2GC-ML2EP is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch that has 16 PoE ports, two RJ-45 uplinks and two SFP fiber intake ports. Ports 1 and 2 are configured to be used with Hi-PoE at up to 60W each (perfect for PTZ cameras). Until very recently, the PoE transmission limit was 328 feet and that is still the case with PoE and PoE+. However, PoE ports 1 through 8 of this switch use the new ePoE technology which will allow you to transmit power and video up to 2,624 feet. It can actually send PoE 800 meters over Ethernet cable at 10 Mbps or 300 meters at 100 Mbps.
This layer two web managed switch gives you control over port management, 802.1Q VLAN, STP/RSTP, LACP, 802.1X and QoS. It also conforms to IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3ab/z and IEEE802.3X standards.
