We have a brand new Elite ACR-EL1201D-D Slim Waterproof (IP65) RFID pin code/ RFID reader for access control. The read format for this reader is 125khz and it can be used with controllers that allow RS485 or Wiegand 34/26 and can be used on any of our access control panels that are currently using the Wiegand 26 protocol.

This works with Elite and DX series as a reader and allows you to use a passcode as well as an RFID card/fob. Having these in place is a good idea in case there is a misplaced card and the user still needs access. For that reason, we suggest you only use this with an Elite access control panel.

An IP65 rating makes it dust tight and protected against water for both indoor and outdoor use. The operating temperature for this device is -22° F – +140° F. The power requirement for operation of this reader is a 9-15v DC power supply at 100mA.

With a slim sleek design, this reader will look great outside a door with its flush mounted housing and red and blue LED touch screen display. Another great thing about the ACR-EL1201D-D is that its small size (135 x 47.5 x 16mm) it will fit to most door frames perfectly.

The ACR-EL1201D-D has an 8 bit processor that helps make it very efficient. The reader has an onboard buzzer and a tamper alarm that can be a very useful tool which can alert the personnel in charge of security issues at the location.
