The IPVD-ELS5IR28A-AI-EP is a 5 Megapixel (2592 × 1944) camera from our Elite series of surveillance equipment. It’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) tries to understand the environment where it’s installed and works with it in ways that offer advanced motion detection based recording and other progressive features.

The Perimeter Protection function works to drastically reduce unwanted motion events. Virtual tripwires are used to reduce the number of pixels that have to be triggered in very specific portions of the camera’s view. This feature is also able to distinguish people and vehicles from other moving objects that can cause unwanted motion recording.

This camera’s Face Detection function collects images of faces from digital images it captures or from another exterior source. The AI is able to analyze the images provided very quickly and help build a database if this camera is working with a recorder that has AI.

For a very long time, the longest your cables could be, when working with POE, was 328 feet or 100 meters. This camera uses the new ePOE technology to go much further as long as both the camera and the Poe switch have the ePOE technology. It can transmit a max bandwidth of 10 Mbps up to 2624 feet (800 meters). It can also transmit up to 100 Mbps up to 984 feet (300 meters).

The wide-angle 2.8 mm lens that this camera uses will allow you to detect objects at approximately 184 feet, observe objects at approximately 72 feet, recognize people at approximately 36 feet and identify people at approximately 20 feet.
